Inside my mind!

Does it take a lot of effort to be a good person? Yes. Is it tiring to keep doing it? Of course. Should we stop? No. Does that mean we have to take everyone's BS? Hell No! Being good does not mean stupid, naive or passive. Step on my toes long enough and you will definitely see another side of me! Peace out!

It's been a while since I have written about myself and my life... So today I will be writing about how I was recently "forced" to turn vegan. Yes, you read it right, forced. I am not new to being vegetarian, as I was vegetarian in my younger years for over 18 years, and just a few years ago did I start introducing meat and chicken back to my diet. This year, after a long ping ponging journey between doctors that mostly had no idea what they were saying or doing... I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, stomach ulcers, anemia, silent acid reflux, Coeliac disease (gluten and lactose intolerance), extreme iron and Vitamin D deficiency, some bacteria in my digestive system that seems to be perforating my stomach... and the list goes on and on and on... while none of the specialists I have been to could confirm any of the above, they have however not hesitated to test out a bunch of pills that counter worked each other and left me in a whole lot of pain, discomfort, horm...

A couple of days ago, we emptied a bottle of St Brendan's Irish cream. My husband, of course wanted to throw away the empty bottle, but I took it, as I had a perfect idea to reuse it by! Why not recycle it and turn it into a historical looking leather bottle?! First thing was to remove the label, all you need to do is let the bottle soak in very hot water... after a few minutes the labels will just slide off it leaving no glue residue behind. Next step was measuring how much leather I would be needing to complete this project. Since I had never worked with this bottle size before, I had to improvise a pattern from scratch... so I just drew the bottle onto the inner side of the leather and added around 2,5 cm extra. Next step was shaping the leather to fit the bottle perfectly. For doing so, I used some sewing aid clips that I have, they worked out perfectly without leaving any marks on the leather.
