Happy shiny planet!

It's been a while since I posted anything on here... and it seems the world has gone to hell a few times since.

We've seen natural catastrophes, war, genocide, pandemics, heat waves, cold waves, asteroids... and lately hallucinating people saying they saw aliens?! Not to mention all the crazy things in the US when it comes to women's rights being taken away!

I look away for a couple of months and all this happens? Sure isn't the "bright" future we were told to look forward to when I was a kid. We were told by the year 2000 we would have flying cars and high tech available to everyone, better lives... yet what do we have? Confused youth, narcissistic internet "clowns", broken families, more poverty than ever, health issues at a very young age, human trafficking, child abuse, slavery all over again, ethnic cleansing... hunger, and the planet falling apart! YAY!

The latest trend is guilt tripping the masses for their carbon footprint! Like I was notified by a Website, that buying a DIGITAL concert ticket online... left a 60 kg carbon footprint. Can someone explain that to me? Because I can't wrap my overworked noggin around it!

Another thing that has gone wonky is social life! During 2-3 years of pandemic, people seem to have rediscovered some sort of caveman/woman behavior... we are seeing more animalistic behavior, especially on dating apps! You are nothing but a piece of flesh, for the night, if you're "lucky". Who you are doesn't matter, as long as you're dtf. To that I say, WTAF!?

Some of you reading this might say, oh you're so pessimistic, all these things have existed at all times, it's nothing new. True, however, we are in 2024, we claim to be civilized, yet here we are repeating the darkest parts of history of mankind. Is this really "evolution"? Is this what we ought to be proud of? Is this truly the BEST we can do?

We are going down in history books as the dumbest generation if we don't do something about it soon. That is assuming historians still care to actually write down history books to be taught at schools. Oh and schools... public education in particular, sheesh. I'm not even going to go there!

But it's important that they have litter boxes for kids who identify as ANIMALS!

Heck had my generation thought about this 30+ years ago, we would have skipped all the drop tests and unneccessary school stress by simply behaving like a bunch of degenerates and called everyone who oppsed us bigots, except in our time, we would have gotten an a** whooping which would have brought the sense back into us!

The best we came up with was popping a fish oil pill in a garbage bin, stank the whole place... and managed to skip a maths exam, at the risk of getting expelled! But now... small kids are exposed to books being read to them about detailed sexual acts, and no, they are not of age to hear about this, and this is definitely not during sex ed classes, we're talking very young toddlers in kindergarten or pre-school! We have kids taking a dump in litter boxes set up just for them, and when they are not cleaned on time, they do the deed in the sinks! Peachy!

Darn it! I said I wasn't going to talk about schools and here I am ranting half a page about one or two small examples, out of thousands that are worth mentioning, not to forget the mass shootings across the ocean... mainly in the land of the free!

Cancel culture is probably the masterpiece of our time! Someone else chooses your language, your thoughts, your clothes, your value, your health decisions, etc... for you. All you have to do is comply, otherwise you will be canceled. Lack of decision making and political correctness in SOME places is driving this world as we know it, down the drain.

It's 01:31 am and it's time to get some much needed sleep. I guess I just needed to let off some steam.

If you've read this far, thank you. I hope I didn't paint your happy bubble black, but...maybe just maybe, it's time to step outside that bubble for a bit and smell what real air smells like, see the world for how it really is and maybe start doing something about it. No, your shoulders can't carry the weight of the world, nor can you save it, BUT you can do something in your own little circle... and hopefully help make this world a bit more tolerable, in hopes of it someday being enjoyable again.

Rant over, for now.
